The brain is the most important organ in every living creatures' body. It is the control system that send messages to different parts of your body. https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org explains what the brain does: ''controls thought, memory, emotion, touch, motor skills, vision, breathing, temperature, hunger, and every process that regulates our body." Since the brain does so much, I thought it would be interesting to look at 3 cool facts about it. Fact 1: Our brains are always on the job. When people say that you only use 10 percent of your brain, it is actually a myth. Our brains never stop working; even while we are sleeping. Fact 2: When you zone out, your brain goes into an autopilot mode. It does this because it recognizes that we can complete the task at hand without thinking hard about it. Fact 3: When we read, different parts of our brains activate. One part analyzes meaning, and the other recognizes words automatically.
Did you know that the countries Romania and Chad have pretty much the same flags. As you can see from the picture above, the only difference is the shade of blue. If you look closely, Chad's blue is is just a lil bit darker than Romania's. Apparently, Romania had their flag 100 years before Chad copied it.
Did you know that the population of human twins has increased? Yes it's true. There are more twins now than ever before. Human Reproduction says that since the 1980s, the amount of twins being born has increased by a 3rd. Every year there are about 1.6 million twin babies being born. I don't know about you all, but I think that's an awful lot of twins! It has also been discovered that it depends on how old the mom is for babies to come. For example, the older the mom is, the more likely she will give birth to twins. The younger she is, she is less likely to have twins.
