SKIN DUST?!?!?!?!?!

Dust is in everybody's house; whether in clean houses, dirty houses, new houses, or old houses. If you didn't know already, dust is made up of  small pieces of matter. The matter can be many things: hair, bugs, lint, dirt, pieces of clothing and many more. But dust is mainly composed of skin cells. If you are wondering how skin cells got in your dust, I am about to tell you.

Deep underneath your skin, new cells are being created.  These new cells get pushed up to the surface of your skin. This is called desquamation process. When the new cells get pushed, the old skin flakes off and gets replaced with new skin. Your body sheds 30,000 to 40,000 skin cells a day. So, while you are in your house, skin cells fall and get mixed in with all the other pieces of matter scattered on the ground. This creates dust.
